The End I'm sick of the abuse. I have spent 7 years of my life trying to build something with this community. 7 years of ups and downs, more downs than ups since hardstyle went pear shaped in 2006. I have never committed any offense in my life, no lies, no crimes, no drugs. I have never brought any intentional harm to anybody around me and am generally open to connecting with people from various backgrounds. I've been brought up with morals knowing the difference between good and bad really well and expect others to have done the same. Unfortunately it seems the the hardstyle scene is infested with many individuals having poor morals. The majority of the kids in this scene today have no respect. No respect for the artists, the music or the origins of what they're listening to today. No respect for people that have invested nearly 10% of their lives to make their youth more pleasant by providing an internet hang out to discuss the things they love. We've tried in so many different ways; minimising the member base to the die hard fans, hiding parts of the site for the public, applying strict rules to segregate the different genres within music. However, no matter how hard we tried. Every single time it comes back to a clash and it all comes back down on me. I have never done anything wrong and neither do I deserve the abuse that is being poured over me for being an honest person. This is the evidence and the reality we have to face when attempting to discuss an immature genre which is targeted at kids. Hardstyle and the people involved in it make me sick inside. I don't want to have anything to do with anymore. Not to forget I would like to highlight the negative impact the hardstyle dramas have had on the other partner sites. I would like to focus on the more mature genres of music today in a better way, and that can not be done without closing the hardstyle chapter. For your own benefit I recommend you to stay away from the kindergarten scene called hardstyle. I would like to thank everybody for the time they invested in my site, in specific D-Nial and X-Qlusion who have always been there, and of course all the moderators that have kindly supported throughout the years. Global Hardstyle is no more
Hardstyle: 1999~2007
A music genre evolved around the turn of the millenium combining elements of hardtrance, hardhouse and hardcore. The unique melting pot provided for underground electronic dance music filling the gap between the uprising commercialisation of trance and the return of mainstream hardcore. Findings its roots in the German, Italian, English, Swiss and later also Dutch dance scene, artists from other genres soon made the jump and turned hardstyle into a popular yet hard electronic genre. Generally speaking the audience for hardstyle throughout these years ranged 18 to 35, having a more mature sound distinguishing itself from the commercial genres at the time.

This is what triggered Global Hardstyle to be created in order to have a common platform from people around the world exchanging information about a style which was difficult to find in public in most countries. Global Hardstyle contributed vastly to the hardstyle scene by introducing foreign artists into the scene, arranging events in locations where hardstyle was unknown and arranging travels to international events. In the end we grew to 30,000 members.

Nu-style: 2007~now
Replaced hardstyle approximately in the year 2007. Larger organisations, labels and artists refuse to exchange the term hardstyle for nu-style as they have invested into the terminology. Even though the music is a black and white contrast compared to what it was in previous years (we call it pussification); modern day nu-style seems to be targeted at an audience ranging age 12 to 18, with the focus on happy melodies, sing along breaks to attract the girls to the events and children to buy the CD's. Many producers and DJ's from the early years have given up on the genre since they can not find themselves in these changes.

Global Hardstyle went through difficult times when it was obvious that the people in charge of the scene were heading for change. Many users from the old days detested the changes in their beloved music which led to conflicts with new people joining the site for what they thought was hardstyle. Additionally several artists and labels took offense of the public criticism of Global Hardstyle and its users upon the change within the genre and targeted the owner with verbal abuse, threats and legal claims.



Hardstyle: a corrupt scene
Additionally corruption introduced into the hardstyle by companies such as Q-Dance, Scantraxx and many others taking part in a mafia cartel to ensure that only the people that are trusted within their groups are allowed to perform on their events. This makes hardstyle one of the few electronic genres in the world that is factually controlled by a handful of people. Events taking place go as far as blackmailing and extortion, verbal as well as physical violence between artists and many other low-life activities. Conclusively - we don't want to have anything to do with hardstyle any more. Do yourself a favour and find another genre.
